About Us

The Scarborough Cross Country Ski Club was established in 1978 with the assistance and encouragement of the Scarborough Recreation and Parks Department. The purpose of the club is to provide outdoor recreational activities in a social setting with a particular emphasis on Cross Country Skiing. Lessons are included in the cost of membership. Lessons are taught at the beginner and intermediate skiing level. We will be travelling to ski country every Saturday this winter in a luxury highway coach to enjoy a fun day of skiing without having to drive on the icy roads.

The cost of membership is kept low because our club is run by volunteers who work hard to get the best prices. Members can participate in all club events and will receive the club newsletter, the Bushwhacker, twice a year. Children are welcome and must be supervised by an adult. We welcome anyone interested in outdoor activities. About one third of our membership lives outside the city of Toronto in Ajax, Pickering, Oshawa, Whitby, Markham, Thornhill or Richmond Hill, including York and Durham Regions.
